BTL
Last week Event EXPO was held and many companies that have a say in our line of business attended. It has been the second year and I must say it went down pretty well, at least from my perspective. I knew most of the exhibitors, many of them I had even worked with. I am always happy when I find something new and innovative. This year it was the 150 bicycles, solar cookers by our competitor from another agency, and “live” coconuts from a contractor previously not known to me. I would like to write about our BTL stand (association of event agencies), which was set in a bar style, where visitors could freshen up with exquisite coffee and a small snack. It was a place that brought together competing agencies and their clients. To my pleasure I observed that despite the tough competition amongst us, the atmosphere remains friendly. We can chat not only about weather, but also exchange contacts and discuss our common issues. I don’t know how it is in the other industries, but I am glad that ours is like this.
I think that it is because of BTL, there we all met and gotten to know each other, found out who stands behind what agency. Even though we had our doubts about the meaning of this association in the beginning, we now have correct relations, know each other and that is why it was worth giving it a try, even if nothing more would have happened.
Dear members of BTL, I am glad that I know you and believe we will continuously prevail in being balanced competitors. I wish you all equally honest and enlightened clientele.
See you soon.
